Our Ambassadors

Marcus Kane.jpg

As an organisation we know how valuable a word of encouragement can be for a child or a young person and we are delighted to have as ambassadors great sports-people who are engaged with the local community and who want every person who comes to our programmes to succeed, not just on the pitch but off it as well.

Charlie Fogarty, MBE (Northern Ireland)

There are few people with a story as inspirational as that of Charlie Fogarty.  A promising footballer on the books of Birmingham City, Charlie was hit by a bus on his way home from school, sustaining life changing injuries.

After coming out of a coma, Charlie fought his way back.  Learning how to walk again on a long rehabilitation journey, Charlie is now a key member of the Northern Ireland C.P. football team and has competed at three World Cups.  He is employed by the English F.A. as an inspirational speaker, with his job taking him all over the UK to encourage young footballers to follow their dreams and that 'anything is possible'.
